Temp HR Assistant, £13p.h, based in Tower Hill

Our client is looking for a HR assistant to join their team on a temporary basis. This is a chance to get involved in an interesting and complex part of the organisation, providing HR and Administrative support to the team.

Who will you be working for?

They are just a stone's throw away from iconic landmarks including the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. You will be based in their new office complex in a historically important part of London, where tourists and locals alike fill the immaculately maintained streets. This is an excellent location in order to achieve a great work life balance.

What does the role consist of?

  • Assist with the updating and maintaining employee records both manual and electronic on a daily basis
  • Assist in all aspects of the recruitment function, in terms of liaison with the HR team to ensure a high quality, responsive service is provided to meet the aims of the HR objectives
  • Liaise with recruitment agencies and recruitment advertisers
  • Assist with the production of adverts and recruitment information packs
  • Liaise with managers with recruitment dates
  • Produce short-listing packs
  • Organise interviews and tests
  • Prepare offers letters
  • Obtain and complete references
  • Create personal files
  • Maintain recruitment files
  • Offer administrative support to the HR department
  • Assist with all HR queries as appropriate and respond directly at a level in accordance with the direction and guidance of the HR department.

What will the successful candidate be like?

  • Previous experience in an administrative role, with strong administrative skills
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral, with an excellent telephone manner
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes; Good keyboard knowledge
  • Some experience of working in a team
  • Highly organised and good attention to detail
  • Willingness to undertake own administration with the necessary keyboard skills
