THE COMPANY:


 


Our client is a savings bank based in the heart of the City.


 


 


THE ROLE:


 

Help the Bank’s Savings business achieve its goal by dealing with customers’ in a friendly, courteous and professional manner.

 

Act as a contact for incoming telephone queries, providing professional and courteous support to customers.

 

Resolve customers’ queries in a timely and professional manner, providing written responses where appropriate.

 

Provide administrative support to the Savings team.

 

KEY RESULT AREAS or ACCOUNTABILITIES

 
  • Field incoming customer telephone calls on the Bank’s main telephone line.
  • Field incoming customer calls from the Bank’s savings customers, assisting with the query or routing the call to a colleague as appropriate.
  • Maintain customer files, including scanning all incoming and outgoing correspondence and attaching copies to the customers file on Phoebus.
  • Outbound telephone and written follow-up to customers who have applied for an account but need to provide more information
  • Process outgoing post, including issuing Welcome Packs to new customers
  • Input basic transactions into Phoebus
  • Any other reasonable tasks.
 

 


THE PERSON:


 

Qualifications/Experience 


 
  • IT literate and a proficient user of Microsoft Office
  • The jobholder should be educated to degree level
  • Candidate will ideally have recently finished university and looking for their first role in banking
  • Job holder will be expected to study towards the IFS Certificate in Retail Banking Conduct of Business and the Diploma in Retail Banking Conduct of Business (the Bank will pay for this and provide time).
