Temporary Data Entry Administrator, £10.50ph, VALID DBS, London

Our client is on the lookout for an experienced data entry administrator to join their team for an immediate start.

Who will you be working for?

The company is a leading global charity with an international presence engaging in aid relief and emergency support to children and vulnerable adults. This is an organisation dedicated to helping those in need in all corners of the world. As this organisation is involved with various campaigns and fundraising projects, this means that your time at this company will be both challenging and rewarding. Based in the heart of London Farringdon, great opportunity to explore and venture to various restaurants and bars.

You MUST have a valid DBS certificate due to the nature of the organisation and their mission of helping children and vulnerable adults.

What does the job consist of?

This role is to support on a project to digitise volunteer records. This will include:

  • Entering paper volunteer record details into a standard Excel spreadsheet will form the basis of half of the records
  • Cross-referencing these with other electronic records
  • The other main source of records will be multiple CSV files. These will need additional information entered, some of which will require decisions to be made. E.g. retail volunteers having specific codes etc.
  • Reformatting the data, by removing breaks etc. to clean it before it's imported to the new system
  • For both of these types of records, there are likely to be numerous pieces of missing data that will require phone calls and emails to be sent to staff
  • You will also be working closely with the software developers as the data is imported, amended and reimported over a series of weeks
  • Within the new system, volunteer role profiles will need to be added manually.

What will the successful candidate be like?

  • Confident using basic Excel features is essential - to be able to use pivot tables and charts would be a distinct advantage
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good organisational and time management skills; producing high quality work to tight deadlines
  • Able to work well with others to resolve issues around the data
  • An ability to network and influence effectively in order to gather and share information
  • A high degree of flexibility and adaptability in order to respond to changing needs
  • Must have solid admin and data entry experience
