Database Manager within Charity, £31k, Waterloo

Working with a well-recognised, fantastic and progressive charity, the Data team is looking for a Database Manager to join them on a permanent basis. This is a chance to get involved with national campaigns, fundraising appeals and incredible events. This is a role where you will be project managing the transition of a new CRM system that will be upgraded in the coming months.

What does the role consist of?

Working within the Finance and Operations department, this is a role where you would be project managing the transition into a new CRM system as well as responsible for administering the CRM, promoting user engagement and leading the Data Team.

  • Oversee the management, supervision and professional development of the Data team
  • Coordinate the internal and external development of the CRM in line with department requirement
  • Create and maintain policies and procedures covering all areas of the database
  • Act as Data Protection Officer for the organisation and manage all data protection compliance, including management of user access
  • Monitoring, reporting and resolving any technical errors and problems with the database
  • Develop and maintain management information reports to provide data insight in line with departmental requirements

 

What will the successful candidate be like?

  • Significant experience of database management
  • Advanced MS Excel skills and proven experience of SQL for data handling
  • Proven staff management and development experience
  • Strong systems project management and team working skills
  • Experience of developing and linking a database strategy to an overall organisation vision
  • Proven ability to work to a high standard with an eye for detail with good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Understanding and appreciation for information legislation such as Data Protection Act
  • Experience of working in a charity sector desirable
