Administrator / Support Officer
Grade C (£27,040 – £30,480 inclusive of London Weighting depending on performance and experience)
The City of London is the world’s leading financial centre with constant pressures for urban renewal. It is the historic core of London and also has a wide range of major new buildings, developments, and streetscape enhancement proposals.
We have created two new roles in our Transportation and Projects Division, for two Admin Support Officers. One Support Officer will work with the City Public Realm Assistant Director and One will work with the City Transportation Assistant Director.
The purpose of the job is to support the respective Assistant Director and their teams on a day-to day basis, in particular with diary management, answering correspondence and dealing with phone calls from Members, Consultants and the Public.
As Admin Support Officer, you'll provide consistently high quality and responsive administrative and secretarial support. Whether you're organising meetings, drafting correspondence, co-ordinating paperwork or scheduling diaries, your professional and proactive approach, eye for detail and ability to effectively prioritise will make you an invaluable member of the team.
You'll need a good GCSE-level education (or equivalent), PC proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and notable experience of working in a similar post. An administration and/or secretarial qualification would be an added benefit.
Our unique range of benefits includes 24 days’ holiday, subsidised staff restaurant, season ticket loan and a variety of discounts on City services and local shops.
The closing date for application is Friday 21st October 2016 at 12 noon.
Interviews will be held week commencing 14th November 2016
The City of London is committed to Equal Opportunities and welcomes applications from all sections of the community.
