Timetabling Manager – Award Winning University - £40,000 + work life balance!!

Leading University specialising in training students within creative specialisms are actively recruiting for a confident, highly organised Timetabling Manager to organise timetable and manage the Universities resources effectively and efficiently to enhance the student experience.  This is a superb opportunity to put your time management and organisational skills into practice, you will also lead a team to coordinate room bookings and the best use of facilities available.  You will join a forward thinking, dynamic organisation that values a work life balance, hours are 35 week, 9-5pm!!! 

Key duties:

  • To lead on the delivery of effective and efficient timetables which provide the best possible timetable experience to students whilst making efficient use of all lecture rooms..
  • Develop and manage the Institution’s timetabling, room bookings and space allocation functions.
  • To provide leadership in the identification and resolution of timetabling issues.
  • Lead and manage the Timetabling Team consisting of a Timetabling Officer and a Room Bookings Administrator, ensuring timetabling and room booking services are delivered effectively, professionally, with outstanding customer service and to agreed service levels.
  • Design, implement and organise the collection of management information on the effectiveness of the service and efficiency of the timetable and space usage; and communicate this the senior management team.
  • Analyse and understand timetabling trends and identify potential opportunities to enhance the learning experience of students.
  • Work with the Head of Facilities in ensuring the maximum utilisation of space and resources and making recommendations for improvements based upon data gathered and knowledge of teaching delivery.
  • You will be the key point of communication and coordination with the senior academic staff, including the Deans and Associate Deans of Schools and Course Leaders, in order to provide students with the best possible timetable experience. To achieve you will be  a strong communicator, effective at establishing relationships with academic staff at all levels and the active promotion of services delivered by the team.

Ideal candidate:

  • Substantial experience of delivering timetabling and space management services within an Higher Education environment
  • Demonstrable project management skills
  • Strong communication skills and demonstrable experience of effectively managing a team, with significant experience of co-ordinating and prioritising workloads for yourself and other team members
  • Significant experience of planning, administration and resource management of services and support.
