Are you looking for a new challenge? Excited by the prospect of working for a dynamic law firm? Our thriving Manchester office is looking for a Junior Secretary to join the Corporate Practice Group. We need you to be an organised, professional individual who has a can do attitude to helping colleagues at all times. Strong keyboard skills and junior legal secretarial experience is essential for this role.

Our Team  

You will be working as part of the secretarial team for the Corporate practice group providing a full PA/secretarial service to the partners and fee-earners. You’ll be reporting into the Manchester office Work Flow Manager.

Our Opportunity

Monday – Friday, 9.00am-5.00pm or 9.30am-5.30pm

In this Junior Secretary role you'll be responsible for a wide range of secretarial duties expected in a busy Corporate team. You’ll need the ability to be able to prioritise workloads, work well under pressure, and be very proactive. Attention to detail, being diligent and able to work with a variety of different personalities are key factors to this role. The onus will be on you to ensure all work is presented accurately and to a very high standard.

A good team worker is essential. You will be required to provide cover for other secretaries when they are out of the office and when work volumes in the department are high. Similarly, you’ll need to organise your work in such a way the other team members can cover for you when you are out of the office.

You

You must have a minimum of twelve month’s relevant legal secretarial experience and you’ll need to be an organised, proactive individual who can easily prioritise a varying workload. You’ll need to be a self-starter and able to manage your time and workload effectively, occasionally working with limited supervision and being a team player.

As you will be dealing with clients of the firm, excellent telephone and communication skills are key for this role. Ideally you'll have strong academics with good knowledge of all Microsoft packages, plus strong keyboard skills, a quick typing speed and a good eye for detail are a must!
