A global management consultancy located in the heart of the West End with impressive offices offering panoramic views of iconic landmarks in the West End is seeking an Executive Assistant and Secretarial Team Leader to support and work alongside the EA Manager and to be the buffer between the team of secretaries and senior managers. This is a career defining opportunity to join an international brand within their field and to add value to a busy and productive team who respond well to a manager who is engaging and wants to inspire the team they head up. You appreciate the need to leverage time and enjoy being the 'go to' person in your current role for support staff that require mentoring and support.
Duties will include:
- Mentoring a team of secretaries who work together and support their training and development in conjunction with HR
- Ensuring that the workload is managed appropriately with an equal division of work and adequate cover within the team
- Handling any issues within the team focusing on a positive resolution for all and taking into consideration different personalities and working styles
- Delivering annual appraisals working in partnership with managers
- Working with HR to recruit and mentor any new team members
- Support with inductions for new hires ensuring that all participants are managed successfully through the process
- Sharing best practices and ideas across the team to ensure that processes are standardised to ensure efficiency and enhanced productivity
- Supporting an exceptionally busy manager who will rely on your gravitas, objectivity and considered approach to ensure that the team of approximately 60 EA's and Team Assistants are supported and fell valued
Whilst your focus will be to ensure a happy and positive team of secretaries you will also be able to flex your secretarial skills by:
- Scheduling meetings, preparing papers and ensuring that all relevant rooms are booked for senior management meetings
- Providing diary management and acting as a gatekeeper to a senior Partner within the business and ensure that you leverage the time of senior managers accordingly
- Supporting with scheduling global and complex travel planning when required
- Undertaking ad hoc tasks as requested by senior managers across the business who rely on your discretion and ability to work to tight deadlines
This is a unique position for someone who has recent demonstrable experience gained within a similar role. Ideal for someone who takes great pleasure in managing people and supporting their progress and would relish the opportunity to work with a cohesive team who require guidance and support from some who wants to build rapport and nurture a proactive team.
