Paralegal

Fantastic opportunity to join an international and well established investment management firm based in slick offices in the City as a Paralegal. You will join a dedicated and committed team of Lawyers who focus on Corporate Debt and Alternative Investments. Joining a team of about 14, you will report to the Head of Legal and support 3 senior Lawyers alongside another two Paralegals.

You will assist the legal counsel with negotiating and finalising trade confirmations and other transaction documents, which requires knowledge of LMA/LSTA par/distressed loan trading documentation. You will assist with the structuring and maintenance of SPVs to act as feeder structures for fund investments and finalise and execute relevant documents including a working knowledge of equity sale/purchase documentation and transaction payments and deal memorandums. You would review confidentiality agreements, engagements letters and other ancillary legal contracts.

You would also take some responsibility for assisting the legal counsel on other fund related distribution and servicing agreements, coordinating the preparation of fund board meetings, work with the distribution team to facilitate other legal matters and assist with other legal initiatives and business requirements as requested.

It is essential that you are degree educated and that you have three years' Paralegal experience, particularly within financial services and a focus on corporate debt would be beneficial. You must have a strong understanding of LMA/LSTA par/distressed loan trading documentation and a strong interest in the investment management and mutual fund industry. You should also have good interpersonal skills to join this dynamic and supportive team.
