International law firm based in the heart of the City are looking for an experienced Health and Safety Assistant to identify and organise health and safety training and perform risk assessments. You will need to have previous experience and be a resilient team player.
Duties
- Liaising with various teams over contractors
- Offering advice to all arears over risk assessment and conducting special risk assessments
- Ensuring first aiders and fire wardens are trained and the appropriate resources are available
- Identifying appropriate personal emergency evacuation plans (PEEPs) and updating/circulating the register
- Conducting questionnaires on display screen equipment and workstations
- Performing workstation assessments and arranging adjustments or equipment
- Reviewing movers lists and ensuring that set up is replicated in the new location
- Conducting scheduled workplace inspections and completion of detailed reports
- Performing health and safety inductions for all new joiners
- Reviewing and updating health and safety pages on the intranet
Requirements
- NEBOSH General Certificate qualification
- Experience in a similar role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Reliable and helpful team player
- Proven organisational skills and great attention to detail
- Resilient and calm under pressure
- Ability to manage and prioritise own workload
- Strong IT skills
