About the role

As Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive of the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency, you’ll provide the highest levels of day-to-day advice and support. He’ll look to you to managehisdiary, deal with all his correspondence and make sure he’s fully briefed and well prepared for every meeting he attends.Make no mistake,this is a far-reaching challenge that demands a more proactive approach than the averagePA role. It’s not just about making the Chief Executive’s life easier, it’s about adding real value to the work he does. That means contributing opinions and sharing your ideas too. 

About you

To rise to the challenge, you’ll need considerable experience as an Executive Assistant at Board level. Outstanding planning and organisational skills are obviously essential. As is an objective and level-headed approach todecision-making. From a practical standpoint, you’ll need excellent MS Office skills and you must be fairly flexible with regards to travel and the hours you work. Perhaps most important, however,will be the combination of confidence, credibility and consummate professionalism - together with a completely collected approach - that enable you to quickly gain the trust and respect of everyone you work with.
